AMSTAR 2 is an instrument (a 16-item checklist) used in assessing the methodological quality of systematic reviews or it can be used as a guide to performing a\u00a0systematic review. AMSTAR 2 has been developed to appraise systematic reviews of both randomized and non-randomized studies The user answers YES, PARTIAL YES or NO to each assessment.\u00a0\u00a0 Two agreements are required during quality assessment ensuring lower risk of bias. AMSTAR has guidelines explaining each outlined item. An SR is considered well done w<\/strong>hen all the items on the checklist have been addressed.<\/p>\n

AMSTAR 2 \u00e9 um instrumento (uma lista de verifica\u00e7\u00e3o de 16 itens) utilizado na avalia\u00e7\u00e3o da qualidade metodol\u00f3gica das revis\u00f5es sistem\u00e1ticas ou pode ser utilizado como um guia para a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de uma revis\u00e3o sistem\u00e1tica. O AMSTAR 2 foi desenvolvido para avaliar revis\u00f5es sistem\u00e1ticas de estudos randomizados e n\u00e3o randomizados. O usu\u00e1rio responde SIM, PARCIALMENTE SIM ou N\u00c3O a cada avalia\u00e7\u00e3o.\u00a0\u00a0 S\u00e3o necess\u00e1rios dois julgamentos concordantes durante a avalia\u00e7\u00e3o da qualidade, para garantir a classifica\u00e7\u00e3o de baixo risco de vi\u00e9s. O AMSTAR tem diretrizes que explicam cada item delineado. Uma RS \u00e9 considerada bem feita quando todos os itens da lista de verifica\u00e7\u00e3o tiverem sido contemplados (Resposta SIM).<\/p>\n
