O vi\u00e9s de refer\u00eancia parcial resulta em dados faltantes e uma representa\u00e7\u00e3o potencialmente errada sobre a acur\u00e1cia de um novo teste contra o teste de refer\u00eancia. Como apenas os pacientes que tiveram o resultado do PET positivo tamb\u00e9m passaram pela bi\u00f3psia, na verdade, apenas os pacientes que receberam resultado positivo no PET foram testados pelo teste de refer\u00eancia padr\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Impacto<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Se um estudo de diagn\u00f3stico \u00e9 considerado como com tendo alto risco de vi\u00e9s de refer\u00eancia parcial, o resultado pode superestimar a sensibilidade e a especificidade, e em alguns casos, sugere uma diminui\u00e7\u00e3o na especificidade do novo teste.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Em geral, \u00e9 dif\u00edcil prever a magnitude e a dire\u00e7\u00e3o do efeito do vi\u00e9s de verifica\u00e7\u00e3o nos resultados j\u00e1 que a sua presen\u00e7a pode levar um teste a ser considerado mais ou menos acurado. Estudos em que o teste de refer\u00eancia \u00e9 caro ou invasivo s\u00e3o particularmente suscet\u00edveis ao vi\u00e9s de refer\u00eancia parcial. Apesar destes desenhos de estudo terem sido utilizados por restri\u00e7\u00f5es \u00e9ticas ou de financiamento, eles introduzem potencial para o vi\u00e9s de verifica\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Passos para preven\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Idealmente, em um estudo de acur\u00e1cia diagn\u00f3stica, todos os participantes devem receber o mesmo teste de refer\u00eancia. Por\u00e9m, realizar o teste de refer\u00eancia em todos os pacientes pode n\u00e3o ser \u00e9tico, pr\u00e1tico ou custo-efetivo, o que pode levar ao vi\u00e9s de refer\u00eancia parcial.
